Good day to all!
Once again, while shopping for turkey meat, I decided to buy a leg.
I gained as much as 2.5 kilograms of happiness, but I couldn’t figure out what to do with it. I asked my husband and he decided to make fun of me and said to fry it. It was a mutual joke, so let's fry it.
First, we carefully inspect everything, remove hairs and stumps, if there are any, of course.

You can remove the bone, but I decided not to do this; the frying pan I had allowed me to fry the whole leg.


It is difficult to salt such a piece of meat, so I rubbed it on both sides with salt and sprinkled it with spices.
I took the spices to my taste - these are my favorite white roots, a mixture of peppers for chicken and dried herbs.


The salted and spiced ham was left to marinate for a day.


The next day I placed the leg in the frying pan and added 150 ml sunflower oil, 300 ml of water, covered it (as best I could) with a lid and put it to simmer on low heat.
As soon as the water had evaporated by half, I turned the leg over to the other side and continued to simmer.


After about a couple of hours, the leg had shrunk in size, the water had boiled away and the lid was now tightly covering the pan.
I also continued to fry the leg over low heat until completely cooked.
In total, the preparation took about three hours.
The dish was prepared in a frying pan with a ceramic coating.
The skin on the leg was slightly burnt, simply due to carelessness.

Turkey drumsticks are usually prepared for special occasions. It is quite large, it is baked for a long time in an electric oven in a sleeve, with a side dish, under various sauces, and then cut into pieces on a platter and placed in the center of the table.

It is not so easy to choose and buy a good young ham of this bird; you can end up with the meat of an old bird that has lost its taste. As a result, it turns out dry and tough, so you should only buy it in trusted stores.

Simple recipe

One of the options for preparing soft and melt-in-your-mouth turkey drumsticks is baking in a special sleeve. In addition to the fact that the meat is perfectly baked, it also produces a lot of heated juice, which can be used to pour over any side dish or simply dip bread into it and eat.

Place the pre-washed and dried turkey meat on a flat surface and generously coat with spices and salt. You need to rub the mixture into the shin as much as possible so that it is better saturated with the aromas of the herbs. Components:

  • Turkey leg – 2 pcs.;
  • Unrefined oil – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • Black pepper – 3 peas;
  • Laurel leaf – 2 pcs.;
  • Salt, herbs - to taste;
  • Little cream – 30 g.

The method of baking turkey drumsticks in foil in the oven is quite common. Prepare the drumstick, wash, dry, remove rough skin and remaining feathers from the surface.
