  • boiled or baked beets - 2-3 pcs;
  • hard cheese - 100 gr;
  • hard boiled egg - 2-3 pieces (one per serving);
  • chicken meat (boil or bake, fry) - 200 gr;
  • boiled or baked carrots in foil - 2-3 pcs;
  • mayonnaise - to taste;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

We bring beets and carrots to readiness in a convenient way. You can bake in foil, wrapped in two layers (baking time is about an hour), boil in water or steam (we check the readiness with a fork - it easily pierces to the middle - the vegetables are ready). Cool, peel off the skin.

Boil chicken fillet in advance in broth, bake in the oven or fry in a small amount of oil (you can use a grill pan and fry without oil). Let cool, cut the meat into small cubes. If the salad is served in portions, we use a culinary ring or a cut tin for assembly. Put chicken meat down, coat with mayonnaise.

Three boiled carrots on a fine grater. Pour over the chicken, level and lightly press with a spoon or crush so that the base of the salad does not fall apart. Add mayonnaise.

The next layer will be hard cheese, crushed through a coarse grater. We also grease the cheese layer with mayonnaise.

Boil the eggs at the rate of one per serving of salad. After cooling, we rub on a coarse grater (you can not add the yolk, but crumble and sprinkle the salad before serving). Lubricate the egg with mayonnaise.

Three beets on a coarse grater, squeeze out the juice. We spread it with the top layer, level it and press it with a pusher so that the top becomes even, without tubercles. Apply mayonnaise in a thin layer. We remove the ring, put the salad in the refrigerator to brew and soak.

Before serving, decorate the salad as you wish. For example, grated cheese, carrots or boiled yolk and herbs.

Recipe 2: General salad with chicken and cheese

  • Chicken fillet - 350 gr.
  • Hard cheese - 150 gr.
  • Carrots (medium size) - 2 pieces
  • Beets (medium size) - 2 pieces
  • Eggs - 4 pieces
  • Walnuts - 50 gr.
  • Mayonnaise - to taste
  • Dill or parsley greens - to decorate the salad
  • Salt - to taste

General's salad with chicken is prepared very simply - you need to sequentially lay out layers of pre-prepared products on a dish and coat them with mayonnaise. Therefore, we propose to start by boiling the indicated amount of chicken, beets, carrots and eggs. We clean the carrots and beets and cook them until soft. We also act with chicken fillet, the water for cooking which should be slightly salted. Boil the eggs in salted water, which will take about 10 minutes after it boils. Prepare the right amount of cheese, nuts and herbs.

After all the cooked ingredients have cooled down, you can start cutting them and shaping the salad. By the way, if you decide to prepare such a salad for a holiday, it will be very convenient to prepare the ingredients in the evening, and start forming the salad the next day. So you will spend much less time in the kitchen directly on the holiday.

An integral part of the salad is the meat component. Some prepare the general's classic salad with beef, but we will cook it with chicken fillet. Cut it into very small pieces.

Next, you need to put the chicken fillet mixed with 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise on a dish. You can choose any form of serving: you can decorate the salad both in separate small forms, and in one common (round or square). We suggest using a form with a removable bottom, which will allow you to carefully lay out the ingredients. Thanks to this trick, the salad will look very advantageous on the table.

Let's start preparing hard cheese. We rub 150 grams of this product on a grater.

We spread 100 grams of grated cheese in a mold, on top of the chicken. We coat the layer with mayonnaise. The amount of this sauce is up to you. We leave 50 grams of cheese to decorate our salad.

We clean the boiled eggs and rub them on a grater.

Put them in a mold and again add a layer of mayonnaise.

The next layer is boiled carrots. Similarly, we rub it with a grater.

We do the same with boiled beets.

We spread the carrots in the form, level it. Put grated beets on top and cover everything with a layer of mayonnaise. This layer can be slightly salted, at your discretion.

Carefully release the salad from the mold. The most creative stage in cooking is coming - decorating the dish! Here you can show your imagination or stop at the classic design. Walnuts, herbs and cheese will help us with this. Finely chop the nuts with a knife, cut the greens. Put walnuts on the edge of the salad, then a circle of grated cheese. In the center of the salad, add chopped greens, which will betray the freshness and benefits of the salad.

Wash the beets under running water.

Boil the beets until fully cooked in "uniforms".

Boil the chicken breast until tender.

Boil eggs hard boiled.

When the beets are cooked, cool them under running water or let them cool at room temperature.

We also cool the eggs under cold water.

We clean the eggs from the shell, garlic from the husk.

Peel the boiled beetroot.

Cut the boiled chicken breast into small cubes.

Rub the garlic on a fine grater.

It consists of layers, the sequence of which is not so important. It is important that the final (top) layer consists of beets. As a sauce, it is best to use homemade mayonnaise.

  • pork or chicken fillet - 200-250 g;
  • hard cheese - 80 g;
  • chicken eggs - 3 pcs.;
  • beets - 1 pc.;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • garlic - 1-2 cloves;
  • mayonnaise - 150-180 g;
  • salt, black pepper - to taste;
  • parsley - for decoration.

Boil the meat in salted water and cool. Then cut into cubes or divide into fibers. For salad, you can use any meat: chicken, pork or veal.

Boil beets, carrots and chicken eggs until tender. Cool, peel and grate on a coarse grater. Also grate and hard cheese.

Peel the garlic and pass through a press. Combine with chopped meat. Salt and pepper to taste, add a little mayonnaise and mix thoroughly.

Place a confectionery ring (larger) on the dish. Beetroot salad "General" can also be prepared in portions using smaller culinary rings. By the way, in their absence, you can make them from a plastic bottle: cut out even rings at least 5-7 cm high from the bottle. The first layer of salad is meat mixed with mayonnaise and garlic. Lay out the mass, level and tamp.

Put the grated cheese on the second layer. Smooth and brush with mayonnaise.

Then distribute the chicken eggs, and again apply a mesh of mayonnaise.

Grated carrots are the next layer of salad, which also soak with a little mayonnaise.

  • 300 g of chicken or any other meat;
  • 200 g carrots;
  • 200 g of beets;
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic;
  • 2-3 chicken eggs;
  • 150 g of hard cheese;
  • 180 g mayonnaise.

Boil chicken meat until cooked, until soft and cut into large fibers. I put a layer of chicken on the bottom of the salad bowl. I smear each layer of lettuce with a mesh of mayonnaise.

Boil chicken eggs for 7-8 minutes. Then I cool and rub on a grater directly into the salad bowl. I can add a little salt to the egg layer, since eggs without salt taste a little bland.

I rub hard cheese through a fine grater so that it turns out in the form of a cobweb.

I water again all the layers with mayonnaise to give an additional rich taste.

Boil the root crops until soft. I cook beets and carrots for about 40 minutes. Then I clean and rub on a grater. I spread a layer of grated carrots in a salad bowl.

In the same way, I rub the beetroot on a grater and add it to the salad.

Lubricate the top again with a layer of mayonnaise.

I decorate with herbs and put in the refrigerator for 20-25 minutes.

3. Next, prepare a serving plate and a culinary ring where you will decorate the salad. As I wrote above, you can use portioned small rings, or one large one. If there is no such ring, then use a tin can or a cut plastic bottle.


4. Pre-boil the beets until soft, approximately 2 hours. Cool well afterwards. This process will take you about 4 hours. Therefore, I recommend harvesting the root crop in advance, for example, in the evening. After the vegetable, peel, grate and put the first layer in the culinary ring.


5. Lubricate the beets with a thin layer of mayonnaise and season with garlic passed through the press.


6. Eggs also pre-boil to a steep consistency, cool and peel. Then separate into proteins and yolks and grate each separately. Put the protein in the second layer and grease it with mayonnaise.
