It is from such cocoa powder that the most delicious drink home cooking. To control the quality, it is enough to grind the powder with your fingers. Excellent natural cocoa is a little sticky, it sort of "settles" on the fingertips.

The fat content of milk does not matter. The more% - 3.2-4, the thicker, "fatter" (and therefore more caloric) the drink will turn out.

Attention! There is a danger of the powder curdling into lumps. It is recommended to sift it into milk through a strainer, stirring constantly. During the addition of cocoa, the heating of the stove is suspended.

In a similar way, cocoa is brewed on water and on a mixture of milk and water:

  • Milk is replaced with water in full.
  • Milk is diluted with water to the desired consistency.

Based on classic recipes, many variations of cocoa are prepared.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon, so often added to coffee, perfectly sets off the taste of cocoa. Just a pinch of spice per serving. It is added to a ready-made drink poured into cups.

With melted chocolate

You will need dark chocolate without fillers and additives, good quality. To make cocoa magical chocolate taste, 3-4 pieces of chocolate per cup are enough. Chocolate is broken into pieces, heated to a liquid state in a water bath. Then pour into the finished cocoa and serve.

With honey or condensed milk

Honey or condensed milk as a sweetener is an excellent substitute for traditional sugar in cocoa preparation. Thickened honey is pre-melted in a water bath to a liquid consistency. Honey or milk is poured into the finished drink, poured into cups.

With marshmallow

Cocoa with marshmallows (small marshmallows) is a spectacular drink option, a favorite among cafes and restaurants. You will need a classic white marshmallow.

  • milk - 400-500 g;
  • cocoa - 3-4 tablespoons;
  • marshmallow - 1 tbsp.

The drink is brewed as classic recipe. When the milk is heated, marshmallows are poured into it, the mass is stirred over low heat until the entire marshmallow has melted. A pinch of vanilla is suitable for such a chocolate drink. You can also put whole marshmallows directly into cups to decorate the drink and give it a "romantic" look.

coffee cocoa

For lovers of both coffee and cocoa, the following recipe is suitable:

  • milk or water - 500 g;
  • ground coffee - 1 tablespoon;
  • cocoa - 1 tbsp;
  • nutmeg - 0.5 tsp

Brew the drink as usual. Although some chefs claim that coffee cocoa will taste better if the mixture of powders is poured with cold liquid, mixed, and only then sent to heat on the stove.

walnut

They say that this version of the hot drink came from colorful exotic Mexico. For a couple of cups you will need:

  • milk or water - 500 g;
  • cocoa - 3-4 tablespoons;
  • walnut - 40-50 g.

Nuts are pre-cleaned and then rubbed with a pestle to a state of fine powder. The drink is brewed as in the classic recipe, but with the addition of a nut mixture.
