Here are the basic rules to follow:

  • The jar must be dry, without cracks, chips or damage. If there is a label on it, it must first be removed by soaking it with water.
  • The temperature of the oven should not be higher than 180 degrees, otherwise there is a risk that the jar will crack.
  • Do not fill the jar to the top - in this case, the juice may leak out and the dish will turn out dry.

  • It is not necessary to pour water, broth or vegetable oil into a jar. The chicken and vegetables will cook in their own juices.

Step 1: Prepare the Meat

Cover the jar with a piece of foil folded in half. Press the foil against the jar so that all the steam does not escape from it during cooking. Put the jar of chicken on a baking sheet. Turn on the oven and immediately, without letting the oven warm up, put the jar in it. We will cook the chicken for 2 hours at a temperature of 160-170 degrees. After 2 hours, turn off the oven and leave the jar of chicken in the oven for another 30 minutes. Then we take it out of the oven and transfer the contents of the jar to a large dish.
